Queensland Young Lawyers invites our members and friends of QYL to join Team QYL at the EPIC Walk for DV on Sunday 22 March 2026.

The EPIC Walk for DV raises awareness and funds for Women’s Legal Service Queensland, a specialist community legal centre dedicated to supporting women impacted by domestic and family violence across Queensland.

In 2023–2024, WLSQ assisted over 15,000 women and delivered more than 47,000 services. Calls to their statewide helpline increased by 17% in 2024, with an average of 112 calls per day. Due to the high demand for assistance, WLSQ is currently unable to answer every call received.

Funds raised through the EPIC Walk help WLSQ provide critical services including legal advice, casework support, and integrated assistance from lawyers, social workers and financial counsellors to help women and their children achieve safety and stability.

We encourage our members and friends of QYL to register online and join Team QYL so we can come together and walk in support of this important cause.

Participants who register will also receive a free purple EPIC Walk event shirt, helping create the “sea of purple” that symbolises community support for women affected by domestic and family violence.

Register and join Team QYL. Simply click ‘Join an existing team or fundraise as an individual’ and type in ‘Queensland Young Lawyers’.
