Join Queensland Young Lawyers and Peppercorn Recruitment for an informal and practical career conversation with Peppercorn Recruitment Partners Peter Liaw and Ross Dakin, kindly hosted by Wotton Kearney.
Drawing on more than 20 years’ experience each recruiting lawyers and observing legal careers, Peter and Ross will share real-world stories and insights from the careers they have watched unfold.
From lawyers making partner at a young age and rapidly increasing their earning potential, to moving in-house, taking a pay cut for the right opportunity or returning to private practice, the session will explore some of the different paths a legal career can take and the lessons young lawyers can draw from them.
The discussion will be followed by an open Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to ask Peter and Ross their own questions about career progression, changing roles, the legal recruitment market and navigating the early years of practice.
